Work out how urgent it is

What's it actually doing?

Electrical faults range from annoying to genuinely dangerous. Find yours below so you know whether to ring us now or book us in.

Stop — ring now

Burning smell or scorch marks

Switch it off at the consumer unit and don't use that circuit. This is a fire risk and we'll come out same day, any hour.

Stop — ring now

Shock off a switch or appliance

Even a small tingle means current is going somewhere it shouldn't. Stop using it and call. This is never something to leave.

Today or tomorrow

Whole house keeps tripping

Usually one faulty appliance or a wet outdoor circuit. Quick to find with the right kit, frustrating to chase without it.

Book it in

Lights flickering in one room

Often a loose connection at a fitting or junction box. Not urgent, but it won't fix itself and it does get worse.

Services

From a dead socket to a full rewire.

01

Fuse board upgrades

Old rewireable boards replaced with modern RCBO consumer units. Certified, tested and signed off the same day.

02

EICR reports

Full condition report on the installation, with a clear list of what's urgent, what's advisory, and what's fine as it is.

03

EV charger installs

7kW home chargers fitted and commissioned. We handle the DNO notification so you don't have to think about it.

04

Rewires

Full and partial. Priced room by room, worked around you, and we make good afterwards rather than leaving you with holes.

05

Lighting

Downlights, outdoor and security lighting, garden runs. Sensible placement, proper cable routes, no daisy-chained extension leads.

06

Fault finding

The job most people put off. We trace it properly with test equipment instead of guessing and replacing parts one at a time.

Landlords: your EICR is a legal requirement.

Every rented property in England needs a valid Electrical Installation Condition Report, renewed at least every five years, with a copy given to tenants. We do them across Thanet, work around your tenants, and email the report the same day. Remedials quoted separately so you're never signed up to work you haven't agreed.

Coverage

Thanet, and a decent way beyond it.

Margate based, so a morning call usually means an afternoon visit. If you're just outside the list it's still worth ringing — we go where the work is.

Reviews

Ask around Margate.

★★★★★

Half the downstairs went dead on a Friday night. He talked me through isolating it on the phone so we weren't in the dark, then came first thing Saturday and found a rotten junction box under the floor.

Mark T. — Westbrook

★★★★★

Had the fuse board done and an EV charger fitted at the same time. Quoted for both up front, did it in a day, and left the garage cleaner than he found it. Certificates through by email that evening.

Priya S. — Broadstairs

★★★★★

Does the EICRs on all six of my flats. Punctual, good with tenants, and he tells me straight what actually needs doing rather than padding the list out. That's rarer than it should be.

Gary W. — landlord, Ramsgate

Before you ring

Common questions.

Do you charge to come out and look?

For fault finding there's a fixed £60 first-hour charge, which includes the diagnosis and any small fix that takes minutes. For quoted work like a fuse board or a rewire, the quote itself is free.

Are you actually registered?

NICEIC registration number 000000 — you can check it on the NICEIC website before you let us through the door. We're Part P registered, which means we can self-certify notifiable work rather than you paying building control.

How long does an EICR take?

Around two to three hours for a typical two or three bed property. We need access to the consumer unit and every room, and the power goes off in stages while we test.

Can you work evenings or weekends?

For emergencies, yes, any time. For booked work we run Monday to Saturday, and we can usually do an early start if you need to get to work.

Do you give certificates for everything?

Yes. Every job gets the right certificate — a minor works certificate for small jobs, a full installation certificate for anything notifiable. Keep them; you'll want them when you sell.
